About Turanj:
Turanj is an attractive tourist village, with population of about 1200, placed on a very beautiful spot surrounded by 15 small islands. It spreads over about 3 miles of Pašman canal coast. It is placed between Biograd and Zadar, which makes it a quiet and peaceful Mediterranean village still close to center of region.
In the very centre of the village there is a church dedicated to Lady of Carmelite whose holiday is specially celebrated (16th July). Apart from the village and very close by the sea on Tukljaèa site there is St. Mary’s church, while on the isle of Babac (facing village) there is small St. Andrew’s church (13th-15th century).
