The House uses the latest technology for heating, uses a system that uses 1kw of energy and turns it into 3kw of energy therefore using a third of the normal energy required. Solar energy is used to heat the hot water for the house and hot tub. Rain water is stored beneath the house for use in the toilets and watering of the garden, which incidentally is controlled by six different automatic systems.
The walls have 30cm of insulation, three times the usual amount, the outside wood cladding is around 6cm thick, again much thicker than normal. The Electrical system is a work of art with 2km of cabling, allowing each plug socket a seperate fuse point. Wall heating and under floor heating pretty much everywhere. The bedrooms have been painted with warmth absorbing paint in winter from Switzerland.
The driveway, most paths and all gutters are all heated so in winter no shovelling snow! CCTV etc . I could go on....
So, there are four good sized bedrooms, two large bathrooms, large open plan area for living dining and kitchen area . Fully equipped kitchen with both gas and electric hob. Dining area overlooks th terrace.
Lovely sun room, large underground basement for all the "NASA" equipment and storage, laundry room etc.
The garden is simply beautiful, well landscaped and planted out. Great views from the deck and hot tub area. All the roack used was sourced with no cracks to avoid anby future cracking in winter.
